7 Compelling Reasons to Make Weight Loss Your Primary New Year’s Resolution

It is easy to get fed up with New Year’s Resolutions that never get accomplished, causing you to not set any goals for the next 365 days. While it is certainly understandable to feel frustrated after several past failed attempts, you really shouldn’t give up on your goal of losing weight and here are seven compelling reasons why: Obesity kills. When you carry around a lot of excess weight, you have a higher risk of a lot of major medical conditions – conditions that could either end your life or at least severely negatively impact it. Some of these conditions include heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes, amongst several others. Why live a life that is full of doctor’s visits, hospital stays and downright horrible treatment options (think chemo and drugs with horrible side effects), especially if you know you have the power to prevent it? Walk the journey with them and help them make better choices – choices that could prolong their life and give them better health. Your kids learn from you.
